Fergal Colbert Tree Care is a County Waterford based business, specialising in a broad range of tree services. Over the years Fergal has built up a wealth of experience in the tree service industry and can quickly tackle any problems you are having. Tree services are available as a once off, or on an on-going contract basis.
Fergal Colbert trained as a Tree Surgeon with Collite Teo back in 2000 and then became Self employed in 2001. He Subcontracted to various Tree Companies, gaining extensive experience in all aspects of Tree Surgery. Fergal Colbert Tree Care was then established. We work in rural and built-up areas, understanding the risks and dangers associated with tree surgery. Our experience means that we can handle these situations with care and confidence.
We also have over 20 years of experience in Power line Clearence and have been awarded the highest Grade {Platinum A} in relation to our Safety Management System from 2021 to 2023 from ESB Networks.

Our Process:
• We begin with a consultation to understand your needs and create a tailored list of the work to be carried out.
• A mutually convenient time is scheduled for an on-site meeting.
• During the site visit, we discuss options and provide professional recommendations.
• Once agreed, we will arrange a start date for the tree care services.
• We conduct a walkthrough with you upon completion to ensure our services meet your expectations.
Insurance
Be aware of cheap quotations, especially if it seems too good to be true. That may reflect an uninsured operator, who is not a professional and will do more harm than good to your Trees. If in any doubt, ask for a copy of their Insurance Certificate, which should have a no Working at Height Limitation {Landscaper’s Insurance). The standard coverage is public liability, which covers 6.5 million public liability and 13 million employer liability.
Also, be aware that in the event of an accident, which could result in a claim, the Client/Landowner is responsible for not checking that the operator has the correct Insurance to carry out the Tree works.
A copy of the Fergal Colbert Tree Care Insurance Certificate is produced to the client/Landowner before every quotation.
Health & Safety
All Tree Work is carried out in accordance with Fergal Colbert Tree Care Safety & Method Statements and Risk Assessments. All staff have Safepass, Manual Handling, First Aid and City & Guilds NPTC Chainsaw Certification. Please see Accreditation below.
